Investigation Launched Into Sex Tape Possibly Involving High School Students From Eastvale

EASTVALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have launched an investigation into a sex tape that possibly features students of a high school in Eastvale.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies were notified Tuesday that a sexually oriented recording of minors had been circulated, prompting an inquiry.

It was unclear if the recordings were circulated online or via phone.

The digital clip purportedly showed several youths engaged in various sex acts.

The circumstances of the acts and the alleged participants were not revealed.

However, officials from the Corona-Norco Unified School District suspect one or more of the teenagers is from Roosevelt High School in Eastvale.

"With regards to this particular incident, it has been reported that the incident took place at a private residence outside of school hours," according to school district spokeswoman Evita Tapia-Gonzalez. "Digital citizenship is an important topic, and plans are underway to launch a formal digital citizenship campaign that includes messages to parents on how to discuss this important topic with their children."

Tapia-Gonzalez also did not specify on what digital or social media site the clip may have appeared.

No arrests have been made, according to sheriff's officials.
