Couple Wanted In Downtown Burbank Stabbing

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 42-year-old man was stabbed on a street in Burbank, and police need the public's help to find his attackers.

The attack happened at the intersection of First Street and Palm Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Monday, Burbank police Lt. Scott Meadows said.

"The victim is in critical condition this morning at a nearby hospital," Meadows said.

According to the preliminary investigation, the victim "got into an altercation with a male and female on the First Street sidewalk," Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said.

"The altercation became physical and spilled out onto the roadway, before bystanders intervened and broke up the fight," Losacco said. "The parties separated and walked away from the scene. The male and female, who have not been identified, were last seen walking south on First Street."

The man was described as white or Hispanic, 25-35 years old, with short dark hair. The woman was described as Hispanic, about 25 years old, with long curly hair.

The weapon used in the crime has not been recovered.
