Ambulance Crashes Into Fullerton Building; 2 Hurt

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Two people were hurt Thursday when an ambulance crashed into a building in Fullerton, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 1:20 p.m. at a storage facility located along the 1400 block of West Commonwealth Avenue, according to Fullerton Fire Deputy Chief Julie Kunze.

The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries, Kunze said. No patient was in the ambulance at the time of the crash.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

A street sign for the United Pentecostal Church adjacent to the building also appeared to be damaged.

Just minutes after the crash, another vehicle had slammed into a vacant Tony Roma's restaurant in a separate incident along the 1300 block of Harbor Boulevard, about two miles south of the ambulance crash. One person was transported for injuries.
