Arizona Ranch Is Looking To Place 20 Miniature Donkeys In Forever Homes

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Maybe it's the political season, but donkeys seem to be everywhere.

These days, 20 miniature donkeys are causing a bit of an Internet sensation -- if only for the cuteness overload.

Twenty minis are at the Triple R (Rescue, Rehabilitate, Re-Home) Horse Rescue  in Cave Creek, Arizona. The animals were rescued from a breeder in Texas.

The Ranch wants to place the minis in forever homes -- preferably in Arizona. They want to be able to check up on the donkeys from time to time to make sure they are being cared for.

On the pet scale, fully-grown minis will weigh between 200-350 pounds -- so you might not want one jumping into your lap. Unlike cats or dogs, though, the donkeys will live for 25-35 years.

Adoption fee is $400 and they want to adopt the animals in pairs, because they are pack animals and when alone get anxious and lonely.
