Museum Featuring Items From Failed Relationships To Open In Heart Of Hollywood In May

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — If you've ever gone through a break-up, it may come as no surprise to you that getting rid of items that remind you of that person and the failed relationship can be powerful.

Well, that's the concept behind a museum that's opening up in the heart of Hollywood.

Located in the 6700 block of Hollywood Boulevard, the Museum of Broken Relationships will be opening in May.

It's expected to showcase donated pieces from individuals who wish to rid themselves of any painful reminders of their former relationship.

The museum says each exhibit is showcased with its title, the relationship duration and dates, as well as the location and an accompanying story.

The museum opening marks its second location. Its first location was opened in Zagreb, Croatia in 2010 after the idea was conceptualized in 2006.

"The museum offers a chance to overcome an emotional collapse through creation: by contributing to the permanent collection," it wrote on its website.
