Chick-fil-A Offers Free Ice Cream For Putting Down That Phone

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Chick-fil-A restaurant are handing free ice cream to diners willing to pen up their digital devices in a "cellphone coop" while they sit down to their meals.

Cellphone cool rules are simple:

  1. Turn cellphones to silent and place in the coop.
  2. Enjoy your Chick-fil-A meal and each other distraction free.
  3. After the meal, let the employees know that you have successfully completed the challenge, and everyone in the party receives a small ice cream cone.

Even though this offer isn't available at all their locations, over 150 locally owned Chick-fil-A restaurants across the U.S. are encouraging guests to take the coop challenge.
