Beauty Site Apologizes For Mistaking Whoopi Goldberg For Oprah In Oscar Tweet

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A beauty website has issued an apology Sunday after mistaking Whoopi Goldberg for Oprah Winfrey in an Oscar tweet.

The site reportedly tweeted a photo of Goldberg on the red carpet with the caption: "We had no idea @Oprah was #tatted, and we love it. #Oscars."

The tweet was removed and the site issued an apology via Twitter stating:

"We'd like to apologize to Oprah and Whoopi, as well as everyone we've offended. It was our error, and there are no excuses. We're sorry."
