Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon Libraries To Host Events In Observance Of Presidents Day

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Residents across Southern California Monday will attend several events in observance of Presidents Day.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., admission will be free at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum in Yorba Linda. The first 250 guests will receive a free slice of cherry pie.

Throughout the day, actors will portray Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Guests will be able to take pictures with the actors.

The museum's galleries will remain closed to the public as they are under major renovation.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will mark the holiday with a free set of family-oriented activities during their 23rd annual Presidents Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Simi Valley.

Those who attend will participate in making crafts, musical entertainment, storytelling and meeting presidential and first lady lookalikes.

Admission to the celebration will be free. Food will be available for purchase.

The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with regular admission prices.
