Homeless Man Sentenced To 2 Years In Jail For Attacking 2 Police Officers

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —   Authorities said a homeless man who attacked two police officers in Arcadia has been sentenced to two years in jail.

The officers were investigating a complaint on July 16, 2015 about a man who was "aggressive" while panhandling.

Deputy DA Brook White said David King Brewster, 25, entered a no contest plea to one felony count of battery with injury on a peace officer and was immediately sentenced.

Brewster choked an officer and punched another as they attempted to talk to him about panhandling in the area, prosecutors said.
