Body Found Buried Outside Fontana Home Positively Identified As Missing San Diego Woman

FONTANA (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities said the body of a Southland woman who went missing on New Year's Eve and found in a Fontana home has been positively identified.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of 27-year-old San Diego resident Alejandra Carrion Gutierrez uncovered information that led them to a residence in the 8200 block of Reseda Avenue, according to the Fontana Police Department's Martha Guzman-Hurtado.

A cadaver dog searched the home and property this past Thursday.

Cesar Rosales, 40, was arrested and booked on a homicide charge.

Sunday officials confirmed that it was Gutierrez's body found buried on the property.

Rosales knew the victim, although the exact nature of their relationship is still part of the investigation.

"During the interview, Rosales admitted to the homicide and burying the body in his yard," Guzman-Hurtado said.

Family members reported Gutierrez missing on Dec. 31. Her vehicle was later found in Fontana near the Rialto city border on Jan. 10, police said.
