Missing 2-Year-Old Girl Safely Located In Palm Springs; Father Arrested

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 2-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted by her father during a supervised visit has been safely reunited with her mother, police said Tuesday.

Early this morning, authorities confirmed that Lucia Perry was located with her father, Jack, in Palm Springs around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys station.

Officers said a witness who saw the community alert flyer, which included a picture of Lucia and Jack, reported she believed they were both staying in Palm Springs.

The Palm Springs Police Department was quick to respond to the location, an apartment that Jack had rented on Sunday using a fictitious name, where the witnesses reported seeing them.

Upon their arrival, officers located Lucia unharmed inside of the apartment. She has since been reunited with her mother, Elise.

Authorities arrested Jack, 31, on suspicion of child abduction. He is being held on $40,000 bail at the Los Angeles Valley Jail Section.

On Monday morning, police requested the public's help to locate Perry after she had been reported missing in Van Nuys.

Jack is accused of abducting his daughter during a supervised visit at The Grove shopping center on Christmas Eve. The pair were last seen at a hotel in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

KNX 1070's Claudia Peschiutta reported Jack, who is a British national, does not have custody of his daughter.

Elise mother lives in the San Fernando Valley and Jack resides in Santa Monica.
