Pedestrian Hospitalized After Being Struck By Vehicle In LA; Hit-And-Run Driver Sought

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A pedestrian remained hospitalized Friday for treatment of injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle in the area east of Avalon Village.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, the crash took place around 4 a.m. located at the intersection of South Vermont Avenue and West 232nd Street.

Upon their arrival, paramedics transported the pedestrian to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a green Ford Coupe did not stop at the scene to assist the victim.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives search for the hit-and-run driver.
