Barricade Suspect Arrested In Westlake District
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday arrested a suspect who barricaded himself inside his apartment after officers tried to serve a warrant in the Westlake district, authorities said.
The attempt by officers from the LAPD's Olympic Division to serve the warrant took place around 4:55 a.m. in the 2600 block of San Marino Street, according to LAPD spokeswoman Officer Liliana Preciado.
SWAT members were deployed to the scene and nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution, police said.
After a roughly two-hour standoff, the man surrendered, according to police. His name was not immediately released.
