GOP Presidential Candidates To Make SoCal Appearances Day After Debate

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Several Republican presidential candidates are flocking to Southern California Wednesday for TV appearances and fundraisers.

Donald J. Trump is scheduled to come to Hollywood for an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The GOP front-runner was originally scheduled to appear on the late-night talk show in October during a week of shows in Brooklyn, but canceled.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is scheduled to be at a luncheon reception in Brentwood and an evening reception in Pasadena, according to invitations posted on politicalpartytime.org, a website that tracks political fundraisers. Tickets for both events are $2,700, the maximum individual contribution under federal law for a candidate seeking his or her party's presidential nomination.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will also be in town at a fundraiser in Beverly Hills, according to an individual who was invited to the event, and at an evening event in Newport Beach. Tickets for the Newport Beach event are $1,000 per person for the general reception and $2,700 per couple for the VIP reception.

And, not to be outdone, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is scheduled to be at a fundraiser at the Los Angeles home of billionaire hedge fund manager Steve Cohen, with 2010 Republican gubernatorial nominee Meg Whitman and NBC Universal Vice Chair Ron Meyer among the hosts, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Wednesday's events come just a day after Bush, Christie, Cruz and Trump participated in a nine-candidate debate in Las Vegas.
