3 Teens Face Murder Charges In Fontana Party Shooting

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Three teens, including two brothers, are scheduled to make their first court appearance Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a part in Fontana.

Joshua Marin and Joe Gonzalez, both 18, and Johnny Marin, 19, are in custody on murder charges in connection with an apparent gang-related shooting at a party on Laurel Avenue in Fontana on Nov. 22, Fontana police officials said.

Gonzalez, who was arrested the day of the shooting, and Joshua Marin, who was arrested the next day, are being held on $170,000 bail each. Johnny Marin was held on $500,000 bail.

The shooting was reported at 2:44 a.m. The first officers at the scene determined that during a house party, up to five gunmen entered the home, approached the victim and shot him multiple times. A second male victim was shot in his forearm while trying to get out of the house, police said.

The first victim died at a hospital of his injuries, police said. The names of the victims were not released.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
