Woman Stabbed And Robbed In Palms Apartment

PALMS (CBSLA.com) — A woman is recovering from injuries after being stabbed and robbed in an apartment in Palms near Culver City Tuesday morning.

Officers were sent to the 3700 block of Delmas Terrace about 11:30 a.m. on a report of a woman screaming, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Neighbor John Mullin said he can't stop thinking about the moans he heard coming through a sliding glass door. "Cries kind of like moaning. And it was kind of inaudible," Mullin said.

But what followed he said bothered him even more. "Then the police came. They came in force. It was like 20 squad cars, a helicopter," Mullin said. "When they brought her out and put her in the ambulance, she was covered in blood. It didn't look good."

According to police, the victim knows the suspect. Investigators said he hit her over the head, stabbed her and made off with some of her possessions.

"She's in her twenties. I believe she's a student. I mean she's just a good neighbor. She's such a nice person," Mullin said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, is listed in stable condition.
