Not Sure Where To Volunteer? Align LA Has You Covered

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Brian Griffin started Align LA with the goal of uniting volunteers with charities.

For those who are uncertain as to where to volunteer their time, Align LA matches you with charities across Los Angeles.

"The holiday season is a great time to volunteer, but volunteering for something year-round is important, too," Griffin told KCAL9's Brittney Hopper.

Charities from feeding the homeless to mentoring children are apart of Align LA.

There are 2,500 volunteers in the program, but they could always use more support.

All it takes to get involved is to visit the group's Facebook page by clicking here, where you can see which charities there are and when they need your help.

Griffin says people always want to volunteer the day of Thanksgiving or on Christmas Day, but it's really the days leading up to the holidays where they need more volunteers.

"I feel I took for so long, and this is my opportunity, my way to give back and help other people that may feel they've been taking as well to give back," Griffin added.
