3 Suspects Wanted In Connection With Assault Of Man, 63, In Pasadena

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Tuesday to identify three suspects who are wanted for assaulting a 63-year-old man in Pasadena.

Around 3:30 p.m. Oct. 13, the victim was assaulted by three unknown men as he walked with his cane on the sidewalk of Lake Avenue near East Claremont Street, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

"For no apparent reason, one of the three individuals approached the victim and shoved him to the ground resulting in the elderly victim sustaining a broken elbow and collarbone," said Chief Phillip Sanchez. "The three suspects then ran west on Claremont Street to an awaiting car."

The late model silver Toyota Camry then drove out of sight, heading north on Hudson Avenue.

Detectives said the three suspects are all black men believed to be 25 to 27.

One man stands 6-foot-1 tall, weighs 175 pounds and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a blue jersey that has a red collar with white lettering on the front, blue pants and a blue baseball cap.

The second suspect was seen wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts.

A third man was described as having short twisted dreadlocks, multiple tattoos on his stomach and both arms. He stands 5-foot-11 tall, weighs 150 pounds and was last seen wearing gray cut off sweatpants. His hands were wrapped in white tape similar to what a boxer uses.

The driver of the getaway vehicle was seen wearing a white T-shirt and white or gray shorts.

The investigation is ongoing.
