Cold Front Delivers Rain, Possible Thunderstorms In Southern California

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — There is a chance for light rain across the Southland due to a cold front, forecasters said Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties saw rain fall overnight. A second cold front will bring rain to these areas this afternoon.

Later tonight, there is a chance for rain fall in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Meteorologists explained a mass of cold and unstable air will create a slight chance for thunderstorms just north of Point Conception.

The thunderstorms have potential to generate small hail and heavy downpours.

Temperatures are expected to remain on the mild side under partly cloudy skies.
