Ex-Disneyland Employee Gets Year In Jail For Trying To Trade Tickets For Sex With Girl

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A former Disneyland employee was sentenced to a year in jail Friday for trying to trade tickets to the Magic Kingdom in exchange for sex with a minor.

Darreck Enciso, 27, of Adelanto, pleaded guilty to a count each of an attempted lewd act upon a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime and contacting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, all felonies, Orange County District Attorney's officials said. His sentence includes five years of formal probation and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration.

Prosecutors say Enciso, who was a Disneyland employee at the time, posted an ad on Craigslist seeking women who would be willing to engage in sex in exchange for tickets to the amusement park. He corresponded with an undercover Huntington Beach police officer, whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl interested in the tickets.

Enciso set up a meeting with the person he believed to be a teenage girl to give her the tickets in exchange for sex acts, officials said. He arrived at the meeting location on July 9 with condoms and Disneyland tickets and was subsequently arrested near the pre-arranged location on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach.
