2 Dogs Rescued From 210 Freeway

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Two stray dogs were rescued Wednesday morning from the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway at Beech Avenue, authorities said.

The two dogs, described as shaking and scared, were reported at about 8:28 a.m. near the divider at the Beech carpool exit, Fontana police officials said.

Fontana Animal Services officers were called to help rescue the dogs, while California Highway Patrol officers used their vehicles as a barrier to prevent the dogs from running onto the freeway.

The dogs, whose breed and age were not known, were found to be in good condition and taken to the Western Riverside County Animal Shelter.

It was not known if the dogs will be put up for adoption.
