1 Killed After Vehicle Gets Wedged Underneath Big Rig In Newhall Pass
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding a deadly traffic collision Wednesday that occurred in Newhall Pass.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m., officers were sent to the northbound 5 Freeway, just north of the eastbound 14 Freeway connector, for report of a vehicle trapped under a semi-trailer, according to California Highway Police officers.
Upon their arrival, authorities pronounced a victim dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending family notification.
Officers have requested to completely close the truck lanes that transition between the freeways until further notice.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
