The body of one-year-old Jude Quezada was discovered about 8 p.m. Wednesday by the landlord of an apartment complex in the 7300 block of Neo Street, Downey police Lt. Mark McDaniel said.

Autopsies were pending to determine the causes of death, Winter said.

The landlord entered the apartment after family members raised concerned that they had not heard from the occupants for several days, authorities said.

Police would not confirm numerous reports that the deaths occurred as a result of a murder-suicide.

"Right now, we are looking at all angles," McDaniel has said.

There were no reports of a weapon found in the apartment.

"The two adults (had) a four-year relationship together," McDaniel told reporters. "The young toddler ... is a common (law) child between the two. We do have some information that we gathered from the family that there has been numerous threats by the male towards the girlfriend in the past. We're still looking into it."
