Say 'Hello' To Adele's New Single

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Fans have waited three years for new music from Adele and on Friday their prayers were answered.

The Grammy winner just released a gorgeous music video for her new single, "Hello," off her highly-anticipated new album, "25." It's the follow-up to her monumental album "21," which ranked number one on the Billboard 200 chart for 24 weeks - more than any other album released by a female artist.

Adele is calling "25" a "make-up" album, an expected, but nonetheless fiery, next step from the break-up themes that dominated her past hits. It will be available for purchase on Nov. 20.

The 27-year-old says she's gone through vast changes in her life since the songs she released as a 19-year-old. She's taken a career hiatus since the birth of her first child in 2012.

She released this letter to fans on Twitter Wednesday. She said of her career break: "I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."

"I was struggling to write my record, so it all slowed down," she told BBC Radio 2 on Friday. "Obviously, I took a bit of time off because I became a mum. Then when I thought I was ready to start writing I wasn't. So I took some more time off. And then I was ready. So a couple of times I thought I'd dried up."

Looking at the early reviews, it's clear Adele is far from dried up.
