Chris Paul Unveils Exist To Assist Community Program
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Clippers superstar Chris Paul has teamed up with State Farm and Jordan Brand's WINGS to unveil a new community program called, Exist to Assist.
The program is designed to demostrate the power of a good neighbor across the country by inspiring others to do good in their communities.
Exist to Assist will be going to communities offering hands-on, custom-built service projects.
The program will begin working with the Brotherhood Crusade, a Los Angeles-based community center that raises funds and resources for locals who need job training, teen counseling, after-school and sports activities, need-based scholarships, and more.
The event will take place on October 26th, at the Brotherhood Crusade on Crenshaw Blvd in Los Angeles.
"This is the true meaning of assist," Paul said. "I'm sure some of you guys see Cliff Paul here and there and think about an assist in the boardroom or on the basketball court, but this is the greatest assist of it all."
Throughout the next year, Exist to Assist will make its way to a number of US cities.
In each city, Chris Paul Family Foundation will team with State Farm to identify local causes in need of a specific assist, whether that means remodeling a school, building a new basketball court, or donating supplies to a local youth program.
The event is only open to pre-registered students and families.
