17-Year-Old Chosen Queen For 2016 Rose Parade

PASADENA (AP) — The queen for next year's Rose Parade has been crowned.

The Tournament of Roses on Thursday named 17-year-old Erika Karen Winter to rule January's famous New Year's Day parade in Pasadena.

She's the 98th Rose Queen and was chosen in a monthlong process. Six Rose Princesses were also chosen.

Erika lives in Pasadena. She's a senior at Flintridge Preparatory School in La Canada Flintridge.
