Reports: Lamar Odom Transferred From Las Vegas To L.A. For Further Treatment

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lamar Odom has been transferred from a Las Vegas hospital to a Los Angeles facility for further treatment, ESPN and other news outlets reported Monday night.

ESPN, along with TMZ and E! News, reported that Odom flew in a medical chopper back to L.A. with his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian.

Odom was found unresponsive last Tuesday at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada.

The brothel says workers saw Odom drinking and taking sexual performance-enhancing supplements.

The senior news editor for Entertainment Tonight says Odom is making incredible improvements.

"Things are looking a lot better than we were expecting. Source inside tell us Lamar is completely off the ventilator and he is breathing on his own. He's still considered to be in critical condition in the ICU, but he is showing signs of improvement. He's receiving dialysis treatments every single day and regaining complete organ function is still the number one priority," Jennifer Peros said.

CBS Los Angeles has not independently verified that Odom returned to L.A. for treatment. It was also not immediately clear what facility he was transferred to.

A statement from JaNean Mercer, his aunt, indicated earlier Monday that Odom is defying the odds and reaching significant milestones.

The Los Angeles Daily News also reported on Monday that Odom was expected to undergo physical therapy tests to determine if he would be able to walk on his own.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Love Ranch told the New York Post that while Odom was unconscious, an unknown man entered Odom's room and took off with his cellphone and other personal belongings.
