Popular Haunted House Makes Musical Return To Riverside With New Creatures, Creations

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com)  —  It's back, and as fun and musical as ever.

The singing Halloween house in Riverside, is back -- with lots of new creations and creatures.

CBS2's Crystal Cruz said that new this year, pyrotechnics have been added to thousands of LED lights and singing pumpkin faces synced up to hit tunes.

"It was like 'Thriller,'" said one young fan, "All my favorite songs,"

From the sidewalk the crowd danced and took pictures of the popular Halloween party house (located at 8300 Deercreek Drive.)

Friday night's opening show was almost postponed because of light rain. People lined up early with umbrellas. And the show must go on -- and did.

"It started raining a little but but we're okay we got through it," says Rachel Banda, a Jurupa Valley resident.

Last year the half-hour show was canceled  right after opening night because of noise complaints. This year, the show creator says he has a permit and plans on running shows only on the weekends.

"I think we did it right this time. We went and got permits first and talked to our councilman, Paul Davis, and made sure we crossed our T's and dotted our I's with everything," says Kevin Judd.

The street was also blocked off for safety reasons to keep the large crowd out of the street.

The show runs Friday to Sunday starting at 7 p.m. (in 30 minute intervals until 8:30) and ends on Halloween.
