Man Sitting In Car Fatally Struck By Stray Bullet In Canoga Park Gang Shooting

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Two gang members were sought Wednesday as suspects in a shooting that left an bystander dead in a vehicle in Canoga Park.

Officers from LAPD's Topanga area were sent to the 7200 block of Eaton Avenue in Canoga Park at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday to respond to a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon and found a man who had been shot while sitting in his pickup.

Identified by family members as Eduardo Rebolledo, 38, a father of two children, he had just left work for an air conditioning company.

A preliminary investigation determined that unknown suspects were driving north on Eaton Avenue when they fired several rounds at a group of people driving in front of them. A stray bullet struck the victim as he sat in his pickup, according to LAPD officials.

The suspects drove off in an unknown direction, police said.
