Yasiel Puig Will Return To Dodgers This Weekend

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will return to the team this weekend after missing time due to a strained right hamstring.

After running at full speed and playing in back-to-back simulated games at the Dodgers spring training facility in Arizona, Puig is scheduled to return to the club this weekend.

Manager Don Mattingly said that "He'll be here this weekend", as the Dodgers close the regular season with a three game series against the Padres.

The Dodgers will take on the New York Mets in the National League Division Series that begins on October 9th.

Mattingly also said that Puig hit a single, walked, and stole a base in his simulated game on Friday.

The news comes just days after Mattingly called Puig's quick recovery, "miraculous".
