More of these businesses are popping up across the Southland, offering visitors an experience that is pulled straight from an "Indiana Jones" movie or classic detective novel.
Participants are locked in a room and given a finite amount of time to solve an interconnected series of riddles which, when completed, will trigger their release. Teams usually have an hour or less to complete the challenges, but many hope to beat previously held record times, and go as quickly as possible.
You usually plan in teams of two or more, with a recommended maximum of six to eight.
