3 Teens Arrested After Reported Stolen Truck Crashes Into Pacoima Home

PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) —Three teenagers were arrested on Friday after leading police on a pursuit in a stolen pickup truck that crashed into a house in Pacoima.

Security video caught the white Chevy truck colliding with a Mercedes. The impact of the collision sent the truck barreling through a fence and slamming into Julianna Rangel's home in the 9800 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Kelowna Street at  about 9:10 a.m.

Rangel said she was having her morning coffee when she saw the truck spinning out of control toward her.

"The minute that my whole furniture started moving, I ran outside.  It was terrifying," Rangel said. "The minute I saw the video after it happened, I was in total shock."

When the Chevy came to a stop, two 18-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl got out of the truck and ran. Officers quickly arrested the teens.

All three and the 83-year-old Mercedes driver were taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.  No one else was hurt.

The suspects were originally wanted for auto theft, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

According to the Department of Building and Safety, the house sustained some damage, but it will be livable while repairs are made.
