Hit-And-Run Driver Shears Fire Hydrant At Medical Center In Sylmar

SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — Authorities searched for a hit-and-run driver on Tuesday who sheared a fire hydrant at a medical center in Sylmar.

Shortly after 5 a.m., firefighters were sent to Olive View Medical Center, located in the 14400 block of Olive View Drive, for reports of a sheared hydrant, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Upon their arrival, crews located water pooling in the parking lot.

At this time, authorities are working to turn off water to the hydrant.
