Help Sought To Locate Serial Robber Targeting 7-Eleven Stores In OC

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help on Thursday to identify a man suspected of robbing four separate 7-Eleven locations in Orange County.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the man has been captured on surveillance video targeting stores located in the 1600 block of North Glassell Street in Orange, the 18500 block of Yorba Linda Boulevard in Yorba Linda, and the 900 block of South Harbor Boulevard and 1200 block of North Bristol Street in Santa Ana.

Officers added the robberies have occurred since Aug. 27.

A preliminary investigation has shown the man walks into each store, selects an item from the cooler and displays a large semi-automatic handgun while demanding cash once at the counter.

Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who is in his 20s, has a goatee, stands 5-foot-4 tall and weighs no more than 170 pounds.

The suspect possibly has a right arm tattoo sleeve down to his knuckles, authorities added.
