Reward Offered For Information In Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter Break-In Case

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A $20,000 reward is being offered for information about a break-in and animal cruelty case at a Riverside County animal shelter.

Locks were found broken on Sunday morning at the Riverside County Animal Services' main shelter in Jurupa Valley at 6851 Van Buren Boulevard.

Shelter workers found two small dogs found dead in an area splattered with blood and many other dogs missing.

An initial exam showed that the injuries sustained to the two deceased dogs were not caused by another animal.

Some of the dogs that were let loose have been found, while at least one was struck by a car and killed.

Anyone with additional information was asked to contact Investigator Gonzales at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's station at (951) 955-2600.
