Dodgers Offer Fans Yoga Mat, Post-Game Yoga Session On Dodger Stadium Field

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Fans can expect a different kind of seventh-inning stretch at Dodger Stadium this weekend.

Team officials are offering a special ticket package to see the Dodgers take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sept. 20 as part of the team's Yoga Day.

With prices starting at $39 for left field pavilion seats, fans can purchase ticket packs that include admission to the game, a Dodger yoga mat and a post-game yoga session on the Dodger Stadium field.

Certified teachers from Yogaworks will be on hand to lead fans in the event, which is open to both children and adults, according to team officials.

Everyone planning to participate will be required to fill out a waiver form (PDF) prior to their arrival at the ballpark.

The waiver cites a "risk of being hit by thrown bats or portions thereof and/or thrown and/or batted balls" during the event, although it wasn't immediately clear whether this risk is linked to the game or the post-game event.

The first official Yoga Day was held back in May, but most fans may not know Dodger Stadium has an even older yoga tradition: outfield Andre Ethier hosted a one-hour session of the Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline focusing on controlled breathing, meditation, and specific body postures.

This ticket package is only available online, according to the official Dodgers website.
