Additional Victims Sought Of San Clemente Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of 2 Teens

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public's help on Monday to identify potential victims of a San Clemente man who has been charged with sexually assaulting two boys under the age of 14-years-old.

On Friday, Uriel Ruiz Ricardez, 24, was charged with three felony counts of sodomy of a person under 14, five felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 and a sentencing enhancement allegation for committing lewd acts upon multiple victims, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

From Jan. 1 to July 31, Ricardez is accused of committing lewd acts upon two boys under the age of 14-years-old.

During this time frame, he is also suspected of sodomizing one victim twice. The second victim was allegedly sodomized on one occasion.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Ricardez was a family acquaintance to the victims involved in this case.

The victim's parents reported the crimes to authorities.

Ricardez is being held on $1 million. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 120 years to life in state prison.

He is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trail at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 in Newport Beach.

The investigation is ongoing.
