LAPD Detectives Hunt Driver In Hit-And-Run Crash That Killed Male Pedestrian

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Detectives with the LAPD's Central Traffic Division are asking for the public's help to nab the driver in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian Friday morning.

Around 4:45 am Friday, a fatal traffic collision occurred on Washington Boulevard east of Hoover Street.

The victim, who is described as a Latino in his 50's, was crossing Washington Boulevard outside marked crosswalks. He was  struck by an unidentified vehicle traveling west on Washington. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid to the victim.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
