CHP Officer Hurt In Accident Along 5 Freeway Near Castaic

CASTAIC (CBSLA.com) — A California Highway Patrol officer was injured Tuesday in a traffic accident on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway near the Castaic area, authorities said.

The accident occurred shortly before 7:20a.m. just north of State Route 126, according to Los Angeles County Fire.

Two southbound lanes were temporarily blocked.

The condition of the officer was not immediately known.
