Body Found In River In Montecito Heights

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A body was found in the Arroyo Seco river in Montecito Heights on Sunday, authorities said.

The body was found at about 6:30 p.m.near the 300 block of South Avenue 52, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters retrieved the body with a rescue basket.

The river in that area flows through Ernest E. Debs Regional Park.

The person's age, gender and cause of death weren't known.
