2 Men Rob Orange Hotel At Knife-Point
ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — Police say two men held up the Howard Johnson Inn and Suites in Orange at knife-point early Monday morning, getting away with cash and the hotel's surveillance video.
The robbery happened at the hotel at 1930 E. Katella Ave. at about 3:30 a.m., Orange police Lt. Fred Lopez said.
Two men with one knife between them followed the night clerk into the office and took $500 from the safe at knife-point, along with the DVR surveillance footage, Lopez said.
They got into a "baby blue" four-door Toyota Camry or Honda Accord and were last seen fleeing southbound on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, he said.
There were no injuries.
