Ontario Man Pleads Not Guilty To Charges In Anti-Vaccination Graffiti

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An Ontario man pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of vandalism for allegedly spray-painting anti-vaccination messages in Beverly Hills and freeway onramps.

Marlon Brian Andrino, 28, was charged on Aug. 14 with three felony counts of vandalism with over $400 damage in graffiti, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Andrino surrendered July 2 to Beverly Hills police.

The graffiti read: "4 every kid afflicted, a public figure will DIE SB277" and appeared on freeway onramps, West Hollywood City Hall and the Beverly Hills Visitor's Center on July 2, prosecutors said.

SB 277 is legislation recently signed into law, requiring most children attending California public schools to be vaccinated, over fierce protests from anti-vaccination parents.

If convicted as charged, Andrino faces a possible maximum sentence of four years and four months in county jail.
