Police On Lookout After Man Sexually Assaults 2 Women Outside Schools

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — Police are on the hunt for a sexual predator who attacked two women outside two separate schools on Tuesday.

Arcadia Police say a 23-year-old woman, who was dropping off her siblings at Dana Middle School, was walking to her car on 1st Ave. when a man quickly attacked her.

"The suspect grabbed her from behind, and assaulted her with a few pelvic thrusts, and then fled the scene," Arcadia Police Sgt. Brett Bourgeous said.

A similar attack occurred just hours later in the parking lot of Arcadia High School, with a 41-year-old victim reporting the same story.

"He grabbed her in a bear-hug type style, and sexually assaulted her by a few pelvic thrusts," Sgt. Bourgeous said.

The suspect was described as a young male, wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and tan shorts.

School officials have been notified, and extra patrols were ordered on Wednesday, though many students say they were unaware of the incidents.

"It's scary, especially since we have freshman who are really scared just to be going into high school, just that they might feel threatened for their safety," Arcadia senior Camryn Perez said.
