2 Men Stabbed -- One Critical -- Following Altercation Outside Church In Azusa

AZUSA (CBSLA.com)   —  Police in Azusa said two men were wounded -- one critically --  after being stabbed Sunday afternoon.

The two men were stabbed multiple times following an altercation with a third man following a church service.

Police said the service ended just before 1 p.m. at Praise Chapel Azusa -- located in the 600 block of East 5th Street -- when the victims left the building.

One of the men returned to the church moments later with stab wounds; the other man collapsed in the parking lot -- also the victim of a stabbing. police said.

The alleged attacker stabbed the victims with an unknown object.

One of the victims was reported to be in critical condition, the other is reported to be in stable condition.

A description of the suspect was not available.
