Man Shot 3 Times Outside Van In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man in his mid-50s was shot three times outside his van in South Los Angeles Monday morning, police said.
The shooting in the 800 block of East 95th Street was reported at 3:20 a.m., Los Angeles police Sgt. James Linter said.
The man, who was shot "either entering or exiting his van," was taken to Harbor UCLA Medical Center to be treated for gunshot wounds to the face, shoulder and chest area, and wrist, Linter said. At last report, he was in stable condition.
The motive appeared to be robbery, but one of the victim's wounds involved his mouth, so he was not able to tell police why he was shot or weather the gunman got away with anything, Linter said.
