Boy Who Went Missing In Ojai Found Safe

7PM UPDATE: Search and rescue crews have located the missing boy, who has since been reunited with family, authorities report.

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they are searching for a missing 10-year-old boy in Ojai.

Sammy Evans is described as a 4-foot-tall black male. He was last seen on Tree Ranch Road wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

He was reported missing around 1:30 p.m. by his mother.

The circumstances surrounding the child's disappearance were not immediately known.

Anyone with more information as to Evans' whereabouts was asked to call the police.
