Arcadia Police Locate Boy, 3, Allegedly Abducted By His Birth Mother

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com)   —  The Arcadia Police Department has found a 3-year-old child who was allegedly abducted Saturday evening by his birth mother.

Levi Barrios, a 3 feet tall Latino with brown hair and brown eyes was last seen wearing a black shirt with the word "Epic" on the front, grey shorts and sandals.

Authorities believe Barrios was abducted by his mother, Melissa Barrios.

Officials said the boy's mother suffers from a mental illness.

The boy was reportedly with his aunt -- shopping at the Westfield Mall around 8:30 p.m. Saturday -- when he was allegedly abducted by Melissa.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. Sunday, a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff located the child and mother at Union Station in Los Angeles. The child was in good condition and unharmed, officials said.

Suspect Barrios was arrested for kidnapping and has been booked at the Arcadia Police Department jail with a bail amount set at $150,000.
