Suspect Arrested In Connection With Hermosa Beach Burglaries
HERMOSA BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a string of recent burglaries and a home invasion in Hermosa Beach, police said.
The Hermosa Beach Police Department said on Thursday they arrested Jose Luis Delgado, 19, of San Bernardino, on August 3 at his home on suspicion of kidnapping, burglary and robbery. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
The most recent in the string of break-ins was July 31 at a beachfront house on The Strand, when a woman awoke to hear two men entering her home. The men at first told her they were police officers, but then led her around the home to look for money and valuables. Two other burglaries had taken place at other beachfront homes in the prior week.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be made.
