Ex-Boyfriend Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Missing Woman In Jurupa Valley

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a 19-year-old man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend in Jurupa Valley.

According to the Jurupa Valley Police Department, Miguel Ramon Nunez was arrested at his apartment around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

Earlier that morning, officers investigated the report of a missing 19-year-old woman.

A tip led authorities to an apartment believed to belong to the woman's ex-boyfriend, located in the 5600 block of Tilton Avenue.

When officers knocked on the door, Nunez appeared with self-inflicted, non-life threatening injuries.

Police proceeded to enter the home and found the missing woman dead on the floor.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Investigators from the Jurupa Valley Station and the Riverside County Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit were then called to assist at the scene.

Nunez was subsequently arrested for murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
