Musicians Gwen Stefani And Gavin Rossdale File For Divorce

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale have filed for divorce after 12 years of marriage.

Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Mary Hearn says Stefani filed her petition Monday and Rossdale filed a response shortly thereafter. Stefani cited irreconcilable differences for the breakup and both are seeking joint custody of their three children.

No date of separation was listed in the filings.

Stefani is a judge on NBC's "The Voice" and is well-known as the frontwoman for the band No Doubt, and Rossdale is the frontman for the band Bush. The pair was married in September 2002 and had their first child together in 2006. The youngest son is a 1-year-old.
